ChatGPT integration readiness

Wakeport has an authenticated operator MCP service. A public ChatGPT directory release and hosted customer mailbox signup have not launched.

What works today

A configured native Rust service routes authorized Gmail events through filters and signed webhooks. Authorized operator clients can connect to https://mcp.wakeport.io/mcp using Streamable HTTP MCP. That endpoint reaches the operator's Mac through a tunnel; the Mac and tunnel must be online.

The current deployment serves one operator's configured accounts. It does not provide independent customer accounts, and its operator credential must never be shared as a public signup credential.

Two separate permissions

Google OAuth grants Wakeport permission to read a particular Gmail account. Wakeport OAuth grants an MCP client permission to use Wakeport. Connecting an MCP client does not connect a new Gmail account or isolate a new customer.

Google production status and restricted-scope verification must be confirmed independently. Existing operator consent is not evidence that a public Google app is approved for all users.

Public directory scope

A future public plugin must have isolated user accounts, narrowly scoped permissions, revocable sessions, and an appropriate event and configuration surface. It must exclude passwords, API keys, OTP codes, authentication links, email bodies, and private Mac or agent execution controls. See the OpenAI plugin guidelines.

Authorized local authentication workflows remain separate from the public directory integration.

Requirements before public release

• Verified user identity and isolation from every other user's accounts and data.
• A supported Google consent and verification path for independent customer mailboxes.
• Actual tool schemas, permission checks, and privacy-safe results verified against the deployed version.
• A reviewer account with sample data, tested cases, and a real demo recording.
• Published support, privacy and terms pages, developer and domain verification, and directory approval.

Existing discovery links

The legacy /.well-known/ai-plugin.json manifest is retired. The website OpenAPI describes only website health. It cannot be imported as a working Gmail or wake delivery API.
